I made some Black Magic Cupcakes and brought it to work the other day for some colleagues’ birthday. I matched the purple cupcake liners (I received from Lilia of My Sweet Hearts Bakery) with the homemade cream cheese frosting (partially colored purple) and sprinkled some purple sugar on the frosting to bring out the colors even more. I thought they turned out nice.………simple yet elegant! And it was all about simple color coordination to create some cute cupcakes. Although they looked fairly cute, and (quite tasty, I hope!) I think the Black Magic Cupcakes go better with chocolate ganache frosting. =) It brings out the “chocolatiness” of the chocolate!
