Congratulations Graduates!

Graduation C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S to my dear brother and Wan Qi on your graduation from college! Yours truly drove 7 hours to Buffalo, NY to attend the commencement ceremony. Brother and I then picked up with our parents who flew in (the same evening) from Malaysia despite the H1N1 Flu outbreak. Hubby flew in a few days later to join us in this wonderful celebration of yet another milestone in the family. Together we had quality and fun family time doing touristy stuff around Buffalo, NY before the graduation on May 9th, 2009. Graduation-1Friends, do check out my Facebook for more pictures!!!

Back…

After about 2 weeks of hiatus from blogging… I’m back.. back slowly! Family time/vacation was spectacular and 2 weeks flew by way to fast! My parents are now en route to Malaysia sitting hours in different airplanes and transiting in various international airports. My brother has also flown back to Buffalo. The house is now quiet and empty with just hubby and Brady.

2 weeks earlier, I was anxiously waiting for my parents’ arrival at Buffalo-Niagara Airport. It has been almost a year since I last saw them at my own wedding. This time we’re reunited for my brother’s graduation. Today, hubby and I sent them off at the airport. It has only been 5 hours since we bid goodbye and I’ve already missed them! **sobs** I wish I could turn back time and relive the 2 weeks we spent together traveling around Canada and the US.

I now bring back with me sweet memories and tons of pictures from the trip. Surprisingly, I did not pack in the pounds from the overeating I’ve done for 2 weeks, even though I feel FAT…..

Life still goes on as I find inspiration and muse to start blogging again. There’s so much to write about; I don’t know where to start!

I’ve blogged about this place previously and my comments about this place remain the same, if not better!. I love this place! Just love it!Feng Shui-1I took pictures of my visit this time……and let me show what $17.95 (Sunday dinner Buffet) can get you…or at least what I filled my hungry tummy with:

Food again, as replenished in a timely manner and the buffet line is quick clean. =) Soup is not put out on the buffet line, but feel free to request your complimentary soup from your wait staff. I’ve not tried asking for a second helping of soup, but I’m sure they will be happy to serve you more!

They now have a variety of Chinese “cold cuts” and cold appetizers on the buffet…. It’s refreshing to see new stuff added to the buffet line! I’ll be back for more buffet!!

Updated 6/4/2009 : I brought my parents to dine at the buffet when they were visiting… They gave this place two thumbs up! They’re impressed with how fresh and delicious the food were and thought $17.95 was totally worth it! =)

Simple, Yet Satisfying

Coffee-1

After our Dog Park activity the past Sunday, hubby and I pondered what should we have for breakfast or brunch. We did not want Mickey D’s breakfast, nor diner food like Denny’s. We thought of having simple instant noodles, but we needed to shop for some…

We stopped by an Asian store on the way home to restock out noodles supply and found oven fresh breads (from a Chinatown Bakery) displayed near the entrance. That was just perfect! I picked out a few fresh warm bread and continued my grocery shopping.

At home, I whipped out my coffee maker, grinded some coffee beans and brewed a pot of coffee for hubby and I. In between sips of freshly brewed coffee, we bit into fresh warm breads with red bean and taro fillings…. Yums!! No need to go all the way to Chinatown to get them Chinese Breads/Buns! Yay!

I went to the grocery store yesterday, hoping to score some Chinese Buns for my trip today only to find out from the store keeper that they only bring in Chinese Buns on the weekends..=(

Away…..

I’ll be away for a few days to meet up with my parents (and brother) in Buffalo. Yay! The family reunites! Hubby will join us a few days after so that all of use could attend my brother’s graduation. I will be traveling around Buffalo and Canada…….touring places and stuffing ourselves silly……=) I’ll try to post my daily entries or something….. =)
